Replacing repetitive manual O-ring fitting
Traditional installation can require an operator to push an O-ring along a fitting cone into its groove using their fingers. Repeated throughout a shift, this may cause fatigue and repetitive strain. OMS Compact automates the insertion step, reducing manual effort while the operator continues to handle the part.
How OMS Compact works
A circular vibratory feeder automatically supplies the O-rings. The operator picks up the part, presents it to the working fixture and removes the assembled component after automatic seal insertion. Component loading and unloading remain manual.
Quick changeover: maximum 10 minutes
OMS Compact is designed to change between pre-configured formats in no more than 10 minutes using dedicated fixtures and adjustments. New parts and seal sizes require a technical feasibility assessment.
Applications and configurations
The machine can be configured for hydraulic and other industrial components with compatible O-ring grooves. Drawings, seal dimensions and materials, groove location and production requirements are needed for assessment.
